Our services are 100% free, always.
Here’s an overview of how we can help.
On-site assessment and multimodal consultation. We’ll come to your workplace or campus and do a walk-through, evaluating what commuter resources are already on site, and what has room for improvement. This includes physical infrastructure, like bike racks and bus stops, but also signage, resources, and more! We’ll follow up with a detailed list of recommendations based on your location, number of commuters, and what’s feasible with your budget restrictions.
Explanation of transportation resources and options available for your community. Many employers and campuses don’t know what resources are out there. Did you know there’s a statewide ridematching service for carpoolers? Did you know you can offer discounted bus fares to your employees in Buncombe County? Do you know where the park & rides are for your employees who live far away? Did you know Commute with Enterprise is already partnering with employers in our region to offer vanpools? We’ll tailor recommendations to your community and what’s available in your location.
Creation of workplace or campus-specific outreach materials and resources. Once we’ve walked through the steps above, Go Mountain Commuting can create tailored outreach materials for your employees or students, which you can have available in your resource offices or include in your new community orientations, or send out in emails and newsletters.
Creation of workplace or campus-specific commuter challenges. A commuter challenge is a great team-building tool to have a little friendly competition between your students, employees, or departments to see who can use multimodal transportation the most during a designated timeframe. These can be for as short as a week or ongoing throughout the year. You decide the parameters, we help your people create accounts and track their stats.
Assistance with the Commute Friendly NC application. This is a statewide program that recognizes employers who make an effort to support their employees, students, or customers who want or need to use multimodal transportation. This is a a great recruitment tool to show you’re an employer or campus that cares about your community’s transportation needs.
Promotion as a Commute Friendly Workplace or Campus on our website and social media for enrolling and participating in our programs. We’ll help toot your horn at every chance we get when we’re talking about our programs.
Inclusion in Commute Friendly WNC quarterly networking and learning sessions for program participants. Want to mingle with and be inspired by other workplaces and campuses who are working to provide multimodal amenities to their community? We’ll meet quarterly to discuss programs, innovations, and highlights, including awards for our standout participants.
