Vanpool

Recovery to Careers Vanpool

The Recovery to Career Vanpool is a new program that has been created using 5310 Jobs Access and Reverse Commute (JARC) grant money and funds from the Dogwood Trust. The goal of the program is to provide access to vanpools for individuals in recovery from substance abuse that are housed in sober living.

The vanpool will provide transportation to work in conjunction with peer support services that are provided through Land of Sky Regional Council. Pick-up will be from designated areas. Participants will be transported to jobs outside of current bus routes. The participants will be return transported to the designated pick-ups after their shifts.

The routes will service people that may work outside the normal hours of bus operations. It will provide transportation for those who may work eight-hour shifts or twelve-hour shifts. It is planned to operate seven days a week.

If you live or work along the route and would like to participate in the vanpool, please reach out to sandy@landofsky.org
