On May 18th, 2022 from 7pm – 8:30pm, Strive Week and Asheville on Bikes will be hosting our first in person Ride of Silence since 2019. In conjunction with the international Ride of Silence, we are riding to mourn those killed or injured by motorist on the roadways and the rides should be kept to under 12mph when possible. Everyone is invited to ride, so long as they have a helmet. Arm bands are strongly encouraged or reflective materials strongly encouraged. Black for everyone (solidarity in mourning lost cyclists). Red for those who have been injured by motorists. We will start at 7:00pm at 70 Court Plaza, Asheville, NC 28801 and ride as a group from there. No registration is required and the ride is free to join!
Strive is partnered with Asheville on Bikes, Blue Ridge Bicycle Club, The AVL Recyclery, and The Asheville Mountain Haulers in supporting the Ride of Silence. If you would like to preview the route or would like to ride the route on your own time, click here.
